Independent Educational Evaluations
Sometimes parents need another professional opinion
Independent educational evaluations, or IEEs, are evaluations completed by another qualified professional when parents disagree with the evaluation conducted by their child’s school district. These evaluations are paid for by your child’s school district (at public expense).
School districts may offer a list of qualified professionals to provide the IEE, however, parents are allowed to select any qualified provider for this service.
Larissa is listed on the Illinois State Board of Education’s Independent Evaluator’s Registry, and can provide IEE services to conduct psychoeducational evaluations when parents and school districts are in disagreement.
